Don't Fly Delta First!
If you are flying to Istanbul from New York, you have a few direct flight options, American, Delta, or Turkish Airlines. AA is basically sharing the THY flight and selling seats under American Ailrines brand. Don't do it, you will pay half price if you are buying your tickets directly from Turkish Airlines. You will be sitting on the same seat after all.
Deta Airlines New York - Istanbul - New York route is your worst option under any condistions, any day, any flight.

If you ask every passenger who flew THY and Delta, they will all tell you the food they serve in THY economy class is 100% beter than Delta business class, hands down, no discussion. Don't fly Delta to Istanbul unless yoiu have no other option.
OK, talking about Delta, I am typing this blog entry at Delta's Business Class lounge at Terminal 3 / Gate 4 while waiting for my Barcelona flight which is already 4 hours late.

The gate was breaking the news to passengers in 30 minute intervals, they just stopped and now no new information is posted if and when this flight will ever take off.
They suck.
Do not fly Delta unless you really have to.
Take my word for it.
